1. Our Transparency Commitment
In compliance with the European AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, effective 2 August 2026), Comparateur IA Facile is committed to total transparency regarding its use of artificial intelligence systems.
As a deployer of AI systems within the meaning of the AI Act, we inform you in detail about the AI systems used on our platform, the data processed, and your rights.
2. AI Systems Used
2.1 AI Chatbot
- Purpose: Interactive assistant that answers your questions about AI tools, helps you find the right tool for your needs, and provides personalised recommendations.
- Models used: Third-party language models (LLMs) accessed via OpenRouter and Google AI APIs.
- Providers: OpenRouter (model aggregator, United States), Google AI (Gemini models, United States).
- Operating mechanism: The chatbot receives your question, enriches it with context from our database (tools, categories, features), and generates a natural language response via a language model. A Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system is used to base responses on verified data.
- Data processed: Messages sent to the chatbot, conversational context, browsing language. Conversations are not stored long-term and are not used to train third-party models.
- Safety and identification: The chatbot is clearly identified as an AI assistant in the interface. Responses include a notice that they are AI-generated.
2.2 AI-Generated Comparison Summaries
- Purpose: Automated generation of product descriptions, comparison summaries and feature analyses to enrich our product pages.
- Models used: Language models via OpenRouter and OpenAI APIs.
- Provider: OpenRouter / Google AI
- Operating mechanism: AI models generate draft content based on structured data (features, pricing, categories). This content is then reviewed and validated by our editorial team before publication.
- Identification: All AI-generated summaries are clearly identified with the label "Automatically generated by AI".
- Caching: Summaries are cached and regenerated when product data is updated.
2.3 Semantic Search
- Purpose: Intelligent search that understands the meaning of your queries to return the most relevant results, even if the exact terms do not match.
- Models used: Text embedding models to convert queries and content into semantic vectors.
- Provider: OpenAI
- Operating mechanism: Your search query is converted into a mathematical vector, then compared with pre-calculated product and category vectors to find the most semantically relevant matches.
- Data processed: Search queries (not associated with your personal identity). Queries are not stored long-term.
3. Commercial Transparency
Our comparison and ranking system combines multiple factors:
- Semantic relevance (60%): match between the query/criteria and the tool's features, calculated by AI
- Business score (25%): considers affiliate partnerships and monetisation, clearly identified by a "Sponsored" tag
- Popularity score (15%): based on user reviews and engagement
This breakdown is provided for full transparency. Affiliate partnerships may influence the visibility of some tools, but never the content of reviews or feature comparisons.
4. Data Processed by AI
| System | Data | Retention | Third party |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chatbot | Messages, context | Session duration | OpenRouter, Google AI |
| Summaries | Product data | Until next update | OpenRouter, OpenAI |
| Semantic search | Search queries | Not stored | Embedding model |
No personally identifiable data is transmitted to AI providers, except for the content of messages in the chatbot.
5. Your AI Rights
